Overview
Big7 is one of several popular amateur cam sites targeting the lucrative German-speaking market.
If you've read our Visit-X and MyDirtyHobby reviews, you'll be familiar with the camming model that is popular in this region: a German-speaking roster of amateurs, euro pricing by the minute, and a prominent video content library that doubles up as a kind of adult social network.
Big7 is run by Wire7 Tech GmbH out of Hamburg, and it's marketed as an all-in-one amateur community as opposed to a pure cam site. You've got the full works: live adult cams, a video store, photo albums, a social newsfeed and paid DMs.
It's tough for us to say how much of their revenue is driven by the cam side of the business, but the cams are certainly a prominent part of their marketing - and it's what we'll be basing our review on.
The immediate factor that sets Big7 apart from its two DACH rivals is the ability to catch free previews, albeit restricted to 1-2 minutes. Most of the live rooms we came across offered a one-minute "GRATIS" voyeur peek, which is a chance to see the model in the flesh before deciding whether you want to burn actual cash on a private show.
The downside is that, being an EU site, the steps to get this far are a pain in the arse. You need to deposit a minimum of 10 euros and pass a fairly intrusive age check just to see the full menu.
We bought a €9.95-for-€20 starter pack with Paysafecard, completed the age verification, and went digging through the various paid components. We'll caveat this review by saying that, without actually speaking German, there were parts of the site that are difficult to grasp given the lack of a native English translated skin.
If you're a German-speaking cam fan... well, you're in luck. Several of our gripes simply won't apply to you.
If you're not, keep in mind the inevitable language barrier before you top up!
Models
Big7 is fairly active with a female-dominated, Euro-heavy roster - and the first thing we'd say is that it's got one of the better mature rosters we've seen. This is not a teeny, twenty-something paradise. There's a real mix of older performers... and they are all amateurs.
On our first visit, the "Amateurs online" counter showed 193 performers online. This was during the afternoon (German time), and sure enough, the total climbed to a peak of around 260 later in the evening.

That's not a bad selection by any means... but there's a degree of number bending, since not everybody listed as 'online' is technically 'active now'.
The counter also includes models who are only available for text chat and DMs. When we went through the live cam directory in the late morning, 47 of the 60 cards on page one were actually live on cam. By the time we reached the second page, we were dipping into performers who were last online within the hour, two hours ago, and so on.
"Seen recently" would perhaps be a more fitting term.
For perspective, both Visit-X and MyDirtyHobby had 150+ live shows during our visits. Big7 is clearly competitive, and there isn't too much between these major portals, although MDH is the clear winner for extra video content.
Female Performers
Big7 is overwhelmingly dominated by female performers.
Across a seven-page pass of the livecam directory, we tracked 390 performers who ad been seen recently: of these, 377 were female, 8 were trans, 4 were female couples and there was one solitary mixed couple.
The age spread immediately caught our eye. The ages we observed ran from 18 to 70, with a median of 33. Of the 377 women, 113 were 40 or older, and 43 of those were 50-plus.
That's an excellent mature selection, if German cougars are your bread and butter. And when Big7 talks about mature performers, it doesn't mean the classic handful of 29-year-old "MILFs" - in the way that some platforms do.
It's nice that, unlike on MyDirtyHobby, Big7 actually lets you filter by age: 18–25, 26–31, 32–40, 41–50 and over 50.

The location of the roster was pretty surprising, too.
Big7 sells itself on the German amateurs market - but during one visit, for the top 20 cam shows we saw, the countries listed were: Germany (6), Poland (4), Russia (3), Bulgaria (2), Czech Republic (2), Ukraine (2) and Hungary (1). That's quite an even distribution across Central and Eastern Europe.
So while German girls are the biggest single group... they're actually outnumbered by Eastern Europeans overall.
That said, the vast majority of descriptions and profiles are written in German, and for the target audience... that's probably what matters most.
Western cam girls are not really a thing on Big7. We found no sign of any active models from the UK or USA, which makes sense given that we were pretty much reliant on Google Translate for navigating the site.
Male Performers
We wouldn't recommend Big7 as a destination for male cams.
There's no male option in the Live Cams filter at all.
Dig into the broader Amateurs → Currently Online directory and you'll see that a male filter does exist. But during our visits, it was basically firing blanks. One visit returned exactly two guys: Benny-Bang (62) and German-Scout (which is, uhh...the famous porn studio?!), both were marked "CHAT ONLINE!" rather than live on cam.

Neither profile had a live cam option available, although that may have simply been bad timing on our part.
Trans Performers
The trans filter returned 8-10 profiles during our visits.
Only one, Hornymary20 (30), was actually live.
The other seven had last been on cam anywhere from eight hours to three days earlier. Listed ages ranged from 21 to 60, with five of the eight in their 20s.
We spotted Germans and a Filipina among them (you can never count them out of a trans category!), but from such a small sample, it's difficult to recommend Big7 for trans cams specifically.
Couples
We found six couples in total... and none of them were actually broadcasting during our visit.
Big7 has a mixed-couple filter which returned two profiles (Swiss-Love20 and Fruehlingserwachen), last on cam two and three days earlier. The female-couple filter returned four: MilfStars, AnieNSophia, Dexters and Nymphomaninen, all offline. Partner ages ranged from 22 to 50.
The broader directory also has a male/male couple filter. This was completely empty.
The lack of couples isn't just a Big7 thing.
We noticed the same on Visit-X and MyDirtyHobby. Amateur couples broadcasting together just isn't as popular on these German sites as it is on Western English-speaking platforms.
Live Shows
Big7 is not a freemium cam site, even if it does have some free features.
This is a pay-per-minute cam site, designed for private chats. The upside is that there are some one-minute free previews, which make it the easiest of the German trio to sample.
You've still got to drop some cash and get age-verified, though - more on that later.
Public Free Shows
When we talk about 'public free shows', we're typically referring to shows you can drop in without having to spend money... either no-nudity free streams, or the public tipping mega-rooms on Chaturbate and StripChat.
Big7 doesn't really qualify on either count.
Browsing as a guest with a fresh, unfunded account, you can browse listings and profiles... but that's about all. Some profiles have a prerecorded intro video that plays for free. It's not live, though.
Every Livecam button we clicked on with an unfunded account sent us straight to the top-up page.
It was only after we bit the bullet and loaded the account that things opened up.
Once your account has some funds, you'll see a slightly different homepage grid showcasing live performers who have enabled a special one-minute free teaser, usually labelled "1 Min. Livecam Voyeur-Cam GRATIS". Click it and you get a live feed... for sixty sweet seconds.

You can't chat in this mode, but you can see what the model is up to.
And it's usually... not much. In nearly all instances where we trailed the 1 free minute, the model was just sat there looking at her screen. Perhaps if we'd timed the minute to coincide with another punter's private show, we'd have had better luck. As it was, the preview was enough to view the performer, her location, and the general 'vibe'... but it's certainly not what we'd call a show.
You'll also see that a smaller number of performers offer a one-minute livecam-plus-chat preview instead. This is the same as the voyeur option, except you can actually send a message before you get bounced back out.
When the minute is up, the feed ends with a clear message telling you the free preview is over, and a "Start livecam"button with that performer's per-minute rate.
Given our complete lack of German, sixty seconds would need to be more like sixty minutes for us to have an actual conversation. BUT - if you're considering Big7, this probably isn't an issue for you.
Compare the free preview to Visit-X, where you get five seconds, five times a day (and only once you've paid in), or MyDirtyHobby, where you get nothing at all. It's actually pretty generous.
Livecam & Private Chat
Private chat is what Big7 is designed for, and if you can find a model you like, it works pretty well.
Rates are set per performer and billed by the minute in euros. The rates we saw were €1.49/min, €1.99/min and €2.99/min. There may be cheaper or pricier options available, but the vast majority of shows we stumbled across were in this 1.49-1.99 bracket - which is slightly cheaper than Visit-X.
One thing we didn't like: you can't see the private rate until you're inside the room.
All of the thumbnails default to the free-teaser offer, and the real per-minute price was only visible once the teaser had expired. Unlike the price for sending a message, which was prominently displayed at all times.
Most profiles have a webcam timetable, which is a useful indication of when a performer is likely to be online.
Cam2Cam
Big7 offers Cam2Cam with a dedicated control so the model can see you too.
This is (apparently) free of charge.
We didn't test the cam2cam side, and we couldn't find any mention in the profiles of which models will accept these shows.
Group Shows
Group webcam chat is advertised... but we didn't find any evidence of these shows taking place.
We found no ticketed or crowd-funded group events, or any filters suggesting they were available. As far as we can tell, "group" is probably getting mixed up in translation. It likely just means several paying viewers in the same room (each on their own meter). Or multiple models on one stream.
Voyeur / Spy Shows
The voyeur mode is alive and well - and it's basically Big7's free-preview engine:

The majority of live rooms we saw had the one-minute voyeur option. You can enter the room and get a very limited sneak peek at whatever the model is doing. You can watch but you can't type, and once your time is up, you'll need to pay the full rate to continue watching.
We can't confirm whether paid voyeur viewing beyond that minute is cheaper than joining the room. We didn't see it priced anywhere as an option (beyond the free preview mode).
Streaming Quality
Big7 delivers 720p streams, but the frame rate we measured was a little bit choppy.
It's OK quality, and certainly sufficient for an amateur cam site... but not outstanding.
We measured a series of live shows, and here's what we uncovered:
Resolution & codec: 1280 × 720, H.264 over WebRTC
Bitrate: 1.50 Mb/s average (1.66 Mb/s median; peaks of 2.93 Mb/s)
Frame rate: 8.4 fps average across the minute; best one-second spells around 15 fps
Packet loss: none
Network: 30 ms median jitter; 183 ms median round-trip time
720p HD is not going to win any industry awards for outstanding stream quality, but it's enough to put Big7 squarely on par with its direct competition.
In fact, the bitrate is almost identical to what we measured on Visit-X and MyDirtyHobby.
Who will take a bite at the 1080p cherry first?
Site Design
Once again, a disclaimer: we do not speak German. As such, we were relying on Google Translate for many features and descriptions on Big7. Some of these can introduce bugs to a site's design that might not be there for native users...
FWIW, Big7 is pretty easy to browse once you've learned its quirks... but there were a couple of issues we didn't like: firstly, it makes a paying customer work harder than necessary to compare costs.
And it's pushy with IM spam. Very pushy.
First Impressions: The Welcome Wagon
Within moments of signing up, we were hit with three pop-up instant messages: two from performers, one from the site admin.
Given we had no previous interaction with either performer. It's a stretch to believe they were dying to get to know us. It all feels very... casual-hookup-baity.

Keep in mind, this is literally within about ten seconds of registering on the site. The entire bottom portion of the screen was taken over with IMs, and the audio blip of new messages received was grating already.
We eventually found the reason... new accounts are configured to receive these messages by default.
It's not that we're against smart push ads and well-placed promos. But if we were in Big7's shoes, we'd at least hold fire until a new punter had spent some time on the site before blitzing the inbox with engagement bait.
Even if you turn the IMS off, you'll get regular promo banner popups instead:

Why the hard sell?
Most of these performers are just following the money. From what we can glean, performers earn 25% of what existing community members spend with them, rising to as much as 70% on customers they refer. The actual messaging is billed per person...so every slice of outreach is a potential payday, right?
And who better to target than somebody who is brand new to the site?
Finding a Performer
The UI itself is pretty decent.
The desktop livecam grid lists the performers side by side, complete with age and gender filters, live status, sound and HD/HQ labels. Cams are ordered by when the model was last online, so live ones sit front and centre. Offline cards tell you when she was last on cam, which saves a lot of dead-end clicks.
There's more filtering than first meets the eye, too. The search page offers country, postcode, gender, age and appearance fields, plus a collapsed preferences section which you can use for extra filtering.
There were a few things we'd improve if we were being picky:
Static thumbnails. The photos you see are the stock portfolio shots the model has chosen - not an accurate representation of what she's doing now.
Extra clicks. A thumbnail takes you to the profile, not the show. Normally you'd expect clicking a show to start the show - but no, there's an extra step.
Two areas, one confusion. "In the chat" and "Livecams" are separate sections. A model being available for messages doesn't mean she's live on video.
A busy sidebar. The desktop chat sidebar and its ever-growing notification badge don't add a huge amount to the experience... but they add plenty of distractions.
Live Chat UX

Once you're in to the actual chat area, things get better.
The live client opens with a nice large video area and a chat panel sat on the right. It's quite unlike a freemium cam site - no distractions from other users, and plenty of screen real estate given to the performer.
This part of Big7 feels far more focused than the directory.
Translation Problems...
Signing up to the site was... in itself... a challenge.
If you're using Google Translate, the age-verification form falls apart. Labels got jumbled, some fields disappeared, and submitting it returned "Please enter your first name".
It was only by switching back to the original German version that we were able to fill out the necessary fields - albeit by translating individual labels manually so we knew what the hell we were answering.
For a German speaker, none of this matters a jot.
But for jolly foreigners? We can't see how the site can grow with an international audience unless it adopts an English-language version for the core mechanics.
Mobile UX
Big7's default mobile layout is cleaner than its desktop site, and we'd say it's comfortably the best of the German amateur communities we've tested. The chat UX is average, however.
On the main site, the narrow vertical layout ditches the chat sidebar entirely, and as we suspected, it's not missed at all.
The performer thumbs stack in a single column, and the mobile header gives you a simple menu, a top-up button and search bar. The big cards keep images and status labels clear, making everything easy to read and simple to navigate - although to compensate, you'll be doing a lot of scrolling.
The hamburger opens a big, clearly labelled menu. "My BIG7" expands to reveal your archive, favourites, updates, profile visitors and settings. Everything a returning customer needs is there... it just takes a few extra taps.

One minor quirk: the top-up button gets prime real estate in the header, while your balance is tucked away inside the menu. Big7 clearly wants you to spend now and assess the damage later. 😂
Live Mobile Chat
You can probably guess our biggest complaint from the screenshot below:

No native mobile viewing.
Unlike modern cam sites like StripChat, these models are broadcasting from the classic desktop webcam setup - meaning you won't find any mobile-optimised cams.
The vertical view above is a good example of the limitations.
A small video feed and a large blank chat canvas. We were able to get a better view by flipping our iPhone horizontally, but this leads to the awkward experience of scrolling down to chat in an unstable window with a bunch of tabs open at the top.
Features
Big7 feels less like a cam site, and more like an amateur German creator marketplace... and it's certainly not alone on that front. Both Visit-X and MDH follow the same formula.
What you have here is a mini adult social network - livecams, a video shop and a social feed all sharing one account. From what we saw, the depth of the on-demand catalogue is impressive.
There's plenty here to keep you busy when your favourite performer is offline... but most of it will cost you credits to explore.
The Video Shop
The Videos menu offers new uploads, new top videos, rankings for the last 30 or 365 days, Classics and a Sale section.
And it comes with a ton of content.
The new-video catalogue alone ran to 1,385 pages. We didn't count every title (we do have lives... sort of), but that's a seriously meaty library.

If you needed a reminder that you're on a German site, the most popular videos should do the trick: it's not exactly softcore. Gangbangs, creampies, squirting... these amateurs know how to get their kink on.
Videos are priced individually by the amateur. As one example, Sandy4Love's "Ganz Privat!" runs 4:57 and costs €10.95 to unlock. It's immediately clear that building a library on Big7 is likely to burn a whole in your wallet.
Video pages carry category links, ratings, comments and "other users also bought" suggestions - all pretty standard. Annoyingly, the catalogue focuses on the duration of the clip rather than the price, so you have to click through to calculate the costs.
Any purchases land in "Mein Archiv", which you can filter by category and creator.
Photo Albums
It appears that models can add incentives and bonuses to their profiles - for example, freebie gallery pics.
One performer had a 12-photo album which said it was free to view after buying more than one of her videos; meanwhile a separate 25-photo album required more than two.
An interesting loyalty mechanic... but "free" is doing some heavy lifting there. Access rules vary between albums, too. And on her profile, we couldn't actually see a Videos tab, which left the route to unlocking those albums a bit of a mystery.
Creator Newsfeed
We've seen many iterations of these before, and Big7's is pretty standard.
The Newsfeed works just like a social timeline, with "all updates" and "my favourites" views. You can filter by creator posts, new videos, new arrivals, video comments, profile videos, profile photos and photo albums.
We saw posts from minutes earlier, complete with hashtags, reactions and comment counts. It's a decent way to keep tabs on a performer between live shows, although plenty of the feed doubles as promotion for paid content.
Virtual Gifts
The message window has a "Geschenk versenden" (send a gift) button that opens a searchable catalogue of illustrated gifts: hearts, romance, plush toys, birthdays, holidays and VIP items.
Prices we spotted ranged from a €5 Cupid's-arrow heart to a €200 diamond ("merry Christmas bb").

This appears to be a simple play on a tips menu, a way for the whales to strut their stuff.
Paid Messaging
Big7 has a well-oiled text chat feature that gets almost as much attention as the cam section - it's separate from the live player. Each message is priced by the performer: some examples we saw included €1 per message for LadySewena and €1.25 for GingerBlonde, both with options to attach images or send gifts. Other performers priced messages lower at around €0.40.
Big7 also advertises that performers can sell pictures through messages.
Interactive Toys
This was a bit of a disappointment.
We weren't able to pin down any native toy integration, and there was no obvious toy filter in the live directory. We did spot one performer, SexyyyBoooom, advertising a Lovense control link in her card and profile, but that appears to be a performer-run workaround rather than a platform feature.
If toy control matters to you, Visit-X (fixed prices and all) does it better.
Value For Money
For someone specifically on the hunt for German-speaking performers, Big7's pricing is OK... but it's not what we'd call bargain territory by any stretch.
When we talk about our Action-to-Spend ratio, we mean two things: how much you can watch without reaching for your wallet, and how badly it stings once you do.
On the first test, Big7 scores better than its German rivals... but only just.
That one-minute preview gives you a decent opportunity to assess a show before committing, and we used it quite liberally when testing the site - albeit with the obvious catch that you have to deposit cash and verify before you can actually try it.
On the second test, there's not much to separate the sites:
Site | Typical live rates we recorded | 10 minutes costs |
|---|---|---|
Big7 | €1.49–€2.99/min | €14.90–€29.90 |
€1.80–€2.30/min | €18–€23 | |
$1.36–$2.00/min | $13.60–$20 |
We'll give some credit for the starter deal...
On Big7, you can pay €9.95 and get €20 of credit. That doubles the value of your first session, but it's a one-off, and the other sites have their own introductory offers that are fairly comparable.
Ultimately, there's not much to choose between the sites. They all offer competitively priced German amateur cam shows... but there are obviously cheaper alternatives, if you are willing to venture beyond the DACH region.
Payment Options
Big7 bills in plain euros, as do the shows and the VOD content. There are no mystery token values to decode, which we like.
The payment choice is OK, albeit not particularly adventurous, and the bonus structure is... a head-scratcher.
Payment Methods
Our logged-in checkout offered two routes:
Credit/debit card (Mastercard, Visa and Maestro)
Paysafecard

No PayPal, bank transfer, direct debit, crypto or mobile billing appeared on our payment page. We've seen some third-party sites list extra methods like Sofort and direct debit, so perhaps availability may vary by country.
But compared to the six methods we found on Visit-X, it's slightly more restrictive.
For better or worse, there are no subscriptions and no auto-recharge.
You top up, you spend, you top up again.
The Starter Offer
There is a decent welcome offer for Big7, but it's... how can we say, convoluted?!
New customers get a "100% bonus": which means you can pay €9.95, and get €20 of credit (€9.95 paid credit plus a €10.05 new-customer bonus). So far, so good.
Where it gets confusing is the "extra credit" menu bolted on top.
Select the €10 option and you'll pay... €19.95. Why? Because the extra credit is added on top of the starter pack, not instead of it. It's weird to see a €10 top-up that actually costs €19.95, and it took us a while to get our heads around the different amounts.
Here's how it translates:
Extra credit chosen | Bonus on the extra | You pay | You get |
|---|---|---|---|
None | — | €9.95 | €20 |
€10 / €20 / €30 / €40 | None | €19.95 / €29.95 / €39.95 / €49.95 | €30 / €40 / €50 / €60 |
€50 | 10% | €59.95 | €75 |
€60 / €70 / €80 / €90 | 10% | €69.95 / €79.95 / €89.95 / €99.95 | €86 / €97 / €108 / €119 |
€100 | 20% | €109.95 | €140 |
So the "up to 20%" bonus only applies to the optional extra, not your whole deposit. On this basis, the starter pack is by far the best proportional deal. Bigger deposits get you more credit... but nowhere near double.
Age Verification
After depositing, we still had to verify our age before the live rooms opened up.
Big7 asked for our name, address and date of birth. That's far more intrusive than the quick mobile selfie checks some sites use. German youth-protection rules are strict, so it's not entirely Big7's fault... but it's another hoop to jump through after you've already handed over your cash.
Refund Policy
Big7 generally doesn't refund unused account credit, and that includes when you close your account.
Its terms do provide a 14-day consumer withdrawal right, with deductions for any services already supplied. Eligible repayments should go back via your original payment method within 14 days, with no refund fee. Note, though, that the checkout includes a consent box agreeing that your right of withdrawal expires once the service starts.
In other words: not an unconditional money-back guarantee.
Discreet Billing
Big7's billing FAQ says payments appear with a neutral description that mentions neither the website nor your username. The checkout names a merchant that we won't publish here (to avoid it becoming traceable!).
However, with some committed digging, we were able to link that company to an adult cam site, even if it wasn't immediately obvious (i.e slap bang at the top of Google).
We paid with Paysafecard, which is what we'd recommend if covering your tracks matters.
Based on what we found, we'd call card billing partially discreet.
Conclusion
Big7 is a solid German-first cam site.
We could focus on several major criticisms if we were comparing it to a Chaturbate or a StripChat - or even a LiveJasmin - but the direct competition is Visit-X and MyDirtyHobby.
Against those sites, it more than holds its own.
Of the three, it's the only one that lets you properly see what you're buying before the meter starts. A full minute of live preview is worth more than Visit-X's five-second flashes or MyDirtyHobby's sweet FA.
Add to that a deep mature roster, full of kinky amateurs (many of whom have tasty private content libraries), and we can see why Big7 attracts a decent haul of punters from the German-speaking markets.
Big7 remains a niche pick rather than a top-table cam site.
But for German amateurs (and especially German MILFs), it's the one we'd head to first.
