LiveJasmin Review

LiveJasmin is the 14th most visited adult site in the world, and the 3rd most visited cam site (behind only Chaturbate and StripChat). 

It has scooped 28 major industry awards -- by far the most successful premium site in our database.

While LJ started as a small niche portal for Hungarian cam girls (Jasmin.hu), it has grown in to a monster platform with over 200,000 models from all over the world. And these aren't just ordinary performers. 

Each is rigorously vetted via the industry's most notorious model application process.

You won't find amateur shows, first-time models or grainy streams on LiveJasmin. This experience is tailored towards customers with money to spend... and a penchant for glamor girls.

Female Performers

Girls make up around 80% of the total models on LiveJasmin. They are sorted automatically by an internal quality score that pushes the best performing models to the top of the homepage.

It's immediately noticeable how different LiveJasmin feels to most amateur cam sites. From the glamor-shot thumbnail pics, to the attention to detail given to outfits, settings, lighting and makeup. 

LiveJasmin claims to accept models of all body types and appearances, but there's little doubt that its algorithm is designed to surface the most beautiful faces and athletic bodies. The homepage gives off vibes of a high-end escort agency.

While the regional sorting of models is lacklustre, we were impressed by the number of western cam girls. Sure, you've got the usual contingent of LATAM beauties, Eastern Europeans and Asians, but there's a nice mix of nationalities and ethnicities. It doesn't feel like a single country has been pillaged by one giant model studio.

Male Performers

We expected LiveJasmin's market dominance would serve up a decent selection of male cams, but this area of the site is notably lacking.

We found an average of 50-60 men streaming, a tiny number when you consider LJ has had 20 years to build up its male roster. We can only assume that this market is considered an after-thought by their decision makers.

Unlike the female cams, male cams are much more concentrated in the LATAM region. It's not possible to view exact nationalities, but we're guessing most of the performers are Colombian. Some of the males appear to be 'extras' who are only there to perform with their partners.

Trans Performers

Most platforms have a dedicated Trans category. Not LiveJasmin.

You have to navigate from Girl > Transgirl or Boy > Transboy. 

The Transgirl category is slightly more active with around 60+ live shows, compared to just 30+ in Transboy. This is one genre where the production quality of LiveJasmin really shines through.

We're used to seeing grainy TS cams, partly due to many of the performers being based in countries with patchy Internet. But LiveJasmin applies its same rigorous standards across the board, resulting in some of the best quality HD cams for TS action.

Couples

LiveJasmin has only a small selection of couples.

We found an average of 20 couples streaming, a rough mix of LATAM couples, Asian couples and a handful of Western duos.

Couple shows tend to perform best on tipping-based platforms -- Chaturbate, StripChat and BongaCams are all much better options.

We can't fault the stream quality on LiveJasmin. It's as good as it gets for a cam site.

Most performers are broadcasting in 1080p. Average bitrates are around 4-5.5 MB/s.

It's not just the technical quality of the videos that leaves a mark. LiveJasmin also keeps a very tight hold on the production quality. Models who fail to keep their streams up to standard are promptly removed from the platform. 

Lighting is particularly good. Models are taught to create an 'erotic' ambience that really adds to the experience.

The platform also offers a multi-camera streaming setup for models (perfect for experimenting with angles), as well as noise removal for external sounds. You might hear the hum of the model's TV/music player on other sites - but not here. 

Everything screams studio professional.

LiveJasmin has a really solid core product. It's clear to us that most of their time goes towards training models and ensuring the best possible video quality.

As a result, there aren't too many quirky innovations or extra features.

Interactive Toy Integrations

LiveJasmin does a good job integrating sex toys with its live shows, but the price floor for activating these toys is not particularly competitive.

We checked out various streams and were stunned by the pricing tiers we saw.

Case in point:

This model (like most) has an Armageddon tip enabled. You can pay 1000 credits for 120 seconds of intense vibrations. 

You'll have to excuse us for not testing this particular feature. $1200 for 2 minutes of vibrations? We can only assume this feature is designed for the carefree whims of an Arabian prince. 

Even at the lower end, 1 credit for 1 second ($1.20) is insanely high. Head over to MyFreeCams and you can spam the chat with 12 similar blasts for the same price. 

Execution? Good. Value? No sir.

Extravagant Model Rewards

Several cam sites like to experiment with contests... mainly to incentivise their models to put on a good show. Well, LiveJasmin really takes the biscuit with a slew of high-ticket competitions, the most recent being a $1 Million giveaway. 

These contests are designed to get maximum mileage out of LJ's top performing models.

While a paying customer may be completely oblivious to any competition, they have the effect of dramatically increasing model activity (and fan engagement) on the site.

Club Elite Loyalty Program

Regular customers can take advantage of a loyalty program that provides different benefits based on your monthly spend.

Keep in mind that you'll lose points when you stop spending.

Nice idea, but the benefits are kinda mid.

LiveJasmin has had many years to optimise its platform for the ultimate cam site experience.

No stone has been left unturned in the quest for a glossy high-end platform. And that's exactly the impression we're left with.

Our eyes are immediately drawn to the high-res portfolio thumbnails. LiveJasmin has exacting specifications for what models are allowed to include as their default photo -- and the results are impressive. 

We usually prefer live stills of the current show. LiveJasmin provides the next best thing by auto-loading a live mini-feed of the current show when you hover over a thumbnail. 

When sites do this badly, the portfolio shots often look jarring against the actual footage. LJ's HD streams look perfectly at home behind the glamor shot covers; some of the models even adopt the same pose as their cover shot to lure in potential viewers.

If we examine the sidebar, LiveJasmin has gone to greater lengths than most to ensure that you can search by just about every body attribute imaginable. All of the basic options are there - language, ethnicity, appearance, breast size, butt size. You can even filter models by their exact height. Looking for models between 5' 3 and 5'7? That's the level of detail available.

Our one major disappointment is the lack of filtering by specifically nationalities:

You're telling us we can search by an exact height - but we can't separate Indian models from South East Asians? Or Brits from Americans?

Premium rival Streamate commits the same weird mistake. We think both sites should take a page out of Flirt4Free's book.

Live Chat UX

The live chat interface is good, although perhaps a little busier than it should be.

You can switch the display from a default window mode in to full-screen or theatre mode. The chat windows take up a lot of screen real-estate even though the speed of the live chat is pretty sedate. 

LiveJasmin has come up with various savvy ways to extract more tips, like a King of the Room feature, where the biggest tipper gets a little virtual crown. The bottom menu has various sex toy activation settings.

Scroll down further and you can access the model's full bio, along with galleries and any custom clips she might be selling.

We also like the addition of an auto-translate tool.

If you are in the US, you get a decent deal on LiveJasmin credits.

If you are based anywhere else, you pay a premium.

Here's an example of the packages available in the US when paying by card:

That's a total discount of 11.5% for buying the biggest package. 

But check out the cost of credits in the UK:

Clearly, Non-US customers are hit with a massive premium on credits that fundamentally alters the cost of shows. We expect a little variation between markets, but a 50% premium is tough to swallow.

Refund Policy

LiveJasmin does not offer refunds on unspent credits.

It is possible to get refunds for private shows, but only in exceptional situations where the performer "totally and explicitly refuses to provide erotic content", or if the website malfunctions.

Discreet Billing

We placed a couple of transactions by credit card and can confirm that billing is fully discreet. 

There was no reference to any cam site on the statement -- an anonymous billing provider is used instead.

LiveJasmin promotes its Mobile Live shows to the top of the mobile homepage - a smart move since these streams undoubtedly look the best when viewing from a mobile phone. They load vertically, taking up the whole screen with a 9:16 aspect ratio.

The actual live chat experience is pretty standard.

Messages are overlaid at the bottom of the video. You have quick links available for gifting or activating sex toys. 

One feature we really like is you can enter full-screen mode without any distractions by simply tapping anywhere on the feed. The icons and chat will disappear. Another tap and they're back. 

Most importantly, the mobile site is extremely snappy. Feeds load quickly and there's smart use of infinity scrolling to ensure maximum discoverability for all models.

When we talk about our Action to Spend ratio, we're referring to the amount of action you can see on the site without a) reaching for your wallet and/or b) breaking the bank once you've reached for it.

To be clear, LiveJasmin is not a free cam site. You can watch free teaser shows, but all of the sexual content is locked behind a paywall.

If you decide to pay, you're looking at an average cost of $2.40 - $4.78 per minute. Some models charge more, others less. 

It's possible to get some really good deals by browsing through New Models. These performers tend to set lower prices, but they still have to get through the rigorous LiveJasmin model screening. The quality bar rarely dips on LJ.

LiveJasmin is the best in the business at what it does.

No other site comes close to offering such a large, concentrated selection of professional models broadcasting high-quality streams.

Clearly, there's no point in using this platform for free shows. 

While you can chat and flirt with models for free, all of the explicit content is hidden behind a paywall. The good news is you can access full nudity at very low prices, especially if you shop around for deals in the excellent VIP section.
