#1. CamSoda

CamSoda has great toy activation features. Lovense and OhMiBod are both supported, and most free streams have activations starting at a single token (just a few cents). The platform lends itself to donating a bunch of small amounts to send vibrations to the model’s toy.

There’s a more advanced feature called ‘control her’, where it basically lets you pilot the toy for 30 or 60 seconds, but it’s pretty expensive and from what we’ve seen, barely used.

#2. Warehouse X

Everything about Warehouse X has been designed from the ground up for maximum interaction.

For a start, Warehouse X is the only cam site where you win tickets to party with the performers in person. The site regularly advertises a promo where you can "Win a trip to Warehouse X" in Tallinn, Estonia. Who knows what goes on behind those closed doors?!

If you are lucky enough to get on the plane, you can put your best foot forward by tipping the performers well in advance.

Warehouse X makes every effort to 'crowdsource' the action. Looking for a personal experience? There are conventional camming rooms available, as well as gaming cams and even a 360 degree VR rig.

#3. StripChat

StripChat is an excellent choice of interactive shows, tip-controlled vibrators and mini-games.

Almost 50% of the performers have interactive toys available. You can narrow down the options with their helpful tagging system: from fuck machines to Lovense (very popular) and Kiiroo (not so much).

StripChat has a purpose-built interface for tip menus, unlike some of its freemium rivals. For example, models can configure their Lovense Toy activation thresholds - a few seconds of low vibration for a small time, a minute-long 'earthquake' for a large tip.

There are interactive sex toys here, and you can send tips in order to activate them.

Support is provided for a number of devices, but OhMiBod and Lovense are the most common. One girl even had a sex machine that you could fiddle with – pretty cool stuff. Sadly, there’s no dedicated interface for activating toys, so models rely on stream overlays.

There's a lot of gamification on Cherry.tv: you’ll level up as you spend tokens.

Your level is shown across the website – models also have one, so you can see who’s new and who’s established on the platform. You’re incentivized to spend here to increase your ranking.

#5. MyFreeCams

MyFreeCams is home to the famous 'Wall of Yellow' - a term given to how the chat window looks when viewers spam a model's tip-activated vibrator with consecutive 1 token tips. This has become something of a live meme.

In keeping with the poor UX, MFC lacks a native interface for interactive toy menus. Models do their best to compensate - some even using whiteboards in their bedrooms! 

#6. Chaturbate

Models can customize interactive sex toys in an insane number of ways, but it creates a chaotic user experience.

We give Chaturbate props for allowing their models to configure activation levels, fees and settings. This is an area of strength, and it's a feature that the models love. 

The problem is that when every cam girl has a mountainous tip menu with different settings, the interface gets cluttered with a massive wall of text -- since Chaturbate doesn't have a native means of displaying the options outside of the chat window. And when every tip menu is different, it's a LOT of information to take onboard every time you enter a new room.

In short: the options are amazing. But we'd like Chaturbate to find a way to display the tip levels outside of the main chat window.

#7. BongaCams

BongaCams allows models to embed Lovense and Ohmibod products – the two major devices on the market.

Activating a toy normally starts at around 4 tokens for a 5 second burst. Each token is about 5 cents, so you can get the party started for as low as $0.20. Guys typically like to spam low-cost vibrations over and over again – pretty much the definition of cheap thrills.

We’d like to see better embedding of toy activations – a sidebar panel or something like that.

#8. Cams.com

You can activate OhMiBod and Lovense devices with the single push of a button – rates vary from 5 through to 30 tokens.

This is half a dollar through to three bucks – pretty steep. 

If you click on the stream, you’ll send a shorter buzz. Embedded functionality for sex toys is great, but more details would be nice. There are no stream overlays to provide any further info on how long the toys activate for at each tipping level. 

#9. Flirt4Free

Flirt4Free offers Tip Controlled, Interactive and 2-Way Interactive shows. It's never made clear what the difference is between Tip Controlled and Interactive (and each filter has the exact same number of models). The 2-Way feature is a nice addition where models can trigger your own compatible sex toy in a private chat. 

Our main issue with Flirt4Free's interactive shows: it's never really made clear when you can (or can't) use them. Some models will have the overlay in place, others will not. It's hit and miss.

#10. Visit-X

Interactive toy uptake isn’t the best, and in addition to that – the prices, intensity levels and durations are all fixed.

A 'low' activation of 30 seconds starts at around $1.50, going up to 'high' for $3.00. It's not the worst deal we've seen, but it's not an option we're likely to be spamming anytime soon. 

#11. XLoveCam

The biggest thing holding back the interactive toys on XLoveCam are the costs associated with activating them.

The price points are pretty static across the board. We think there’s a floor price of $1.07 for activation (which is 1 Euro), and then the other levels have to be a multiple of that. Most girls have 1, 3 and 5 Euros as their levels.

What’s annoying is that they’ve got an embedded feature here to show you toy activation rates and the costs – it’s just too expensive to utilize to any serious degree, and with just three options, the models don’t have much wiggle room with gamifying the situation.

#12. Streamate

Streamate has an integrated GOLD menu for sex toy activation. While some cam sites do a pretty bad job at displaying the tip menu, Streamate gets it right with a systemised approach that works consistently across the site -- but it comes at a price.

Activating a sex toy for 5 seconds will set you back 1 GOLD ($1). We've seen models offering 25 second activations for 25 GOLD. The only possible explanation for this is to provide a reward for tips that would have been given anyway.

We do like the Wheel Spin feature, but again, models are much more aggressive in pricing here than on freemium sites.

#13. LiveJasmin

LiveJasmin does a good job integrating sex toys with its live shows, but the price floor for activating these toys is not particularly competitive.

In fact, we'd say 1 credit for 1 second of toy activation ($1.20) is insanely high. 

But that's just the starting price. The top end of the tip menu contains an option for Armageddon. 

Here you can pay 1000 credits for 120 seconds of intense vibrations. Wow. You could spend a weekend with a high-end escort for $1200. Or you could blow it in 2 minutes of virtual madness on LiveJasmin.

#14. Cam4

Cam4 models with tip-activated sex toys can be found in the Live Touch category.

We were surprised by the lack of shows available here, with just 20-30 streams available - even during peak hours in Europe. Sex toy tipping is much less of a focus on Cam4 than on rival freemium sites.

#15. Jerkmate

Jerkmate does have interactive toys available, but they are only user-activated on the JerkmateLive version of the site (which ties directly in to the Streamate back-end). 

Traditionally, sex toys are used as tipping bait for free public shows, which aren't really the focus on Jerkmate. Many models have them, and will happily use a Lovense or OhMiBod in private shows, but they are far less common than on the tip-driven platforms like Chaturbate and StripChat.

#16. XCams

Around 30% of the models on XCams have an interactive toy enabled.

Unlike freemium sites, where you can tip according to the intensity and length of the activation, XCams restricts you to a single option— 5 credits for 10 seconds. That works out to about $1 per activation. We've seen worse value, but the restrictions are pretty nonsensical. 

#17. IMLive

There are interactive sex toys here, but they’re incredibly expensive to activate, and given that few girls offer public shows, their utility is minimal.

What would we like to see done different? Lower the floor price, so if camgirls want to allow toy activations for pennies, they ought to be able to! It’s such a shame too, since IMLive is one of the few places that actually has a dedicated interface to toy activation.

#18. SakuraLive

SakuraLive supports interactive sex toys, but the way they are integrated is bizarre - to say the least.

There are no options to send one-off tips or a mini-earthquake of vibrations. The system is entirely binary - you either turn the toy on or off.

Activating a model's sex toy costs an additional 1 token per minute ($2) and will continue to rack up the costs until you switch it off.
